The European Panna Tour was new to the NowWeMOVE campaign in 2015 and showcased some of Europe's most exciting panna players on city squares across Europe. The tour started in Copenhagen, Denmark, on 22 May and the players traveled through Vienna, Ljubljana, Zagreb, Skopje, Thessaloniki, Plovdiv and Pitesti on the way to their final stop, Budapest, to promote this new trend in physical activity.
Panna is a new freestyle street sport that rolls football, aerobics, rhythmic gymnastics and a fun show all into one. The tour will feature demonstrations of the sport followed by free coaching sessions inviting the audience to learn tips and tricks from the experts.
The Panna Team comprises the four co-founders of the Danish street soccer team and community "Copenhagen Panna House":
The Panna Tour is being organised in collaboration with DGI, the second largest sports organisation in Denmark. The aim of the event is to provide an attractive street panna football activity on the main squares of selected cities throughout Europe over 12 days to encourage young people to get involved in physical activity.
